Boat Building
SINCE 1958
Stark Bros tradition continues...
Stark Bros Ltd has built boats since its beginnings in 1958.
Most vessels have been of a commercial nature, designed and built in-house from small clinker dinghys, fast cray boats, barges, a steel tug, workboats, through to timber and steel trawlers currently up to 19 metres in length.
Since 1958 we have built more than 40 boats longer than 10 metres in length. We are probably the only commercial boat builder in New Zealand still building New Zealand Kauri carvel planked fishing trawlers. The majority of our boats are now built in steel.
Should you require a commercial vessel you are encouraged to contact us, as we can assist you with any form of fishing vessel, work boat or small tugs.
